Instore Marketing Manager

Job Purpose & Accountabilities:

The Manager ISM Softlines has ownership of all presentation and in-store marketing initiatives for their respective GMAs and will support the stores and the GMAs by providing comprehensive, informed input, clear communication and organization on all applicable issues.

The end result will be as follows:
Achievement of maximum presentation of all merchandise within the respective GMA at store level

Clear and concise communication of all initiatives pertaining to the respective GMA and In-store Marketing to ensure flawless execution at store level

Organization of all parties on all display, set up, signing or fixturing initiatives in order to meet specified deadlines

Maximum support for Stores & Home Office as the point person to all ISM-related issues
Represent ISM to the Stores and the respective GMA and provide In-store Marketing input and guidance on all related issues

Responsibilities

Weekly Communication:
Communication of weekly issues pertaining to presentation, marketing and operations in support of merchandise initiatives from ISM and/or the GMAs

Ownership of Best Buy Zone and Endcap merchandising direction

Responsible for the content of information in weekly, monthly or other communication vehicle as they pertain to their GMA

Adherence to all pre-set timelines

Seasonal / Themed Kits / MAP's:

Gather information and assemble into a store-friendly communication kit, web site and/or video and layouts to provide clear set up and presentation direction to stores

Coordination of seasonal / themed set ups at the DC Planogram Centre

Present ISM concepts to ISM Senior Management and to GMM's for approval prior to the final merchandise set date at the DC Planogram Centre

Development and coordination of seasonal signing and fixturing components with Signing and Fixture departments

Adherence to all pre-set timelines

Company Merchandise/Marketing Support:

Attend Presidential Line Reviews for respective GMAs. Present on ISM initiatives where needed with GMM support

Work with Marketing to coordinate advertising, promotions and other initiatives with in-store presentation

Attend Brand and Marketing presentations as they relate to in-store environment as the ISM representative

Adhere to business processes related to the position and offer suggestions for improvement where possible

Planograms and Spaceguides:
Ownership of spaceguide adjacencies, space allocation and completion timelines
Communicate necessary information on spaceguide overview for each spaceguide release
Give presentation direction on planograms and timelines based on planogram schedule and DC Planogram Centre set up
Work with Buyers, Signing and Fixturing on developing new or modified signing and/or fixturing for planograms
Approval of all new store adjacencies

Signing and Fixturing:
Coordination and approval of all signing & fixturing development & roll-out to stores
Gather requests from GMA's on signing and fixturing needs and follow ISM processes to determine feasibility and timelines for production
Visit outside markets and/or competition to investigate best practice for signing, fixturing and presentation
Communication of all signing and fixturing programs to stores

General Store/Office Support:

Provide store support via email, phone or store visits/road shows or training for issues pertaining to ISM and the GMAs
Visit stores regularly for feedback on presentation and set ups
Work with Vendors on presentation-related topics with the involvement of the Buyers to ensure company standards are adhered to Supervision, development and performance management of the Coordinator ISM Softlines Other duties and special projects as assigned

Position Requirements
Post Secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field of study; or equivalent 5 to 7 years experience in retail and merchandising preferred Store experience an asset

Knowledge of Office 2000 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FrontPage) an asset
