Software Procurement

Duties and Responsibilities. Vendor Management

  • Request quotes from Vendors Create Purchase Requisition (Ariba)
  • Follow up with Vendors regarding orders, new technology, pricing
  • Build customer and supplier relationships
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA) objectives are met.
  • Monitor daily progress of requisition and follow up with suppliers accordingly
  • Act as liaison with suppliers to resolve daily operational issues
  • Tracks and analyzes vendor issue escalations and resolution, developing reports and identifying trends to provide opportunity and objectives for efficiency or productivity gains, such as vendor consolidation
  • Manages the product end of life cycle by leveraging Information Services subject matter experts and vendor representatives to introduce replacements or other solutions

Inventory Management:
  • Once the shipment arrives receive in Ariba
  • IT hardware unloading, unboxing and tagging
  • Provide regular (bi-weekly) analysis of inventory levels maintained in the warehouse (stock room)
  • Update the stockroom tracking sheet
  • Maintain stockroom standard operating procedures (SOP) to support efficient and effective handling and placement of hardware, work stations, printers and accessories in order to maximize productivity,
  • Execute efficient and effective shipment processing by following processing and placement guidelines; track and communicate units.
  • Generate monthly inventory summary reports
  • Perform RTS (return to stock everyday)
  • Keep the stock room clean and organized
  • Remove asset tag from all hardware which is End of Life, damaged and can not be re assigned.
  • Provide bi weekly stock room reports
  • Ship Machines to remote sites as required
  • Help workstation team when required.
Qualifications and skill requirement:
  • College diploma or certificate in business management, computer science, computer engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge or understanding of electronic parts is required.

Intern for EITI - International Latin America

The International Secretariat has around 25 staff members from 19 countries.

Intern Latin America and the Caribbean

The Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat is now recruiting a full-time intern, for a six-month period, to join the office in Oslo, Norway.

This position offers the chance to work in an international and vibrant working environment helping citizens of resource-rich countries benefit from their natural resources and to work on subjects at the cutting edge of development and the extractive industry.

The position covers day-to-day tasks of more administrative and organisational nature in the Latin America and the Caribbean team as well as exposure to other policy issues in the EITI International Secretariat.

The intern will be paid 170 Norwegian Kroner per hour and should expect to work 37,5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities: 
  1. Update Latin America and the Caribbean country webpages
  2. Develop tools to monitor progress of implementation of EITI work plan
  3. Support the LAC team in the preparation of trainings and Validation missions
  4. Prepare documents and budgets for workshops
  5. Other administrative tasks

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish. French and Portuguese are highly desirable, but not required
  • Experience with finance and budgeting
  • Experience working with websites is an advantage
  • Experience working in an international environment and with international partners is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the region is an added advantage

Cost Estimator
Main Purpose of Role:
  • Prepare BOQ, Cost Estimates, quantity takeoff, BOM & pricing schedules
  • Support on Project controls or Project Engineering, Lead Multidisciplinary project team, coordinate with the team to resolve technical issues/clarifications and coordinate with client based on project requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare BOQ, quantity takeoff, BOM & pricing schedules
  • Prepare subcontract tender packages
  • Prepare cost estimates for various project phases in coordination with related discipline leaders / HOD's.
  • Coordination and management of sub-consultants, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
  • Organize technical bid evaluation process, initiate & execute post order vendor documentation review/approval.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project execution team
  • Coordinate with functional group heads for proper resource assignment on the allocated projects.
  • Identify inter-discipline interfaces and provide work directions for project advancement
  • Develop and maintain project Execution plans to achieve project objectives
  • Organize and manage complex engineering activities as per project execution plan
  • Interact at all levels including the client, consultant sub-contractors and inter-departments
  • Analyze schedule deviations for cost and time impacts and recommend corrective action
  • Prepare graphic reports / presentations for management and client on project status and technical issues
  • Identify design changes, variations to contract, its time and cost impacts - manage change orders.
  • Compile EPC tender packages & prepare tender clarifications
  • Prepare project closeout report upon completion of work and lessons learnt reports.
  • Ensure Company quality & safety standards and procedures are followed.

Qualifications:
  •  Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Certification in preparing project cost estimates
  • Should have minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience with excellent communication and inter personal skills.
